May is a prime time for targeting Salmon in this area, as the warming waters bring the fish closer to the surface. The weather was just about perfect, with partly cloudy skies and great water conditions—ideal for a productive day on the lake.  

As we got set up and started working the area, it didn't take long before the rods started bending. The first fish to hit was a feisty Chum Salmon, putting up a great fight before we were able to bring it in. That set the tone for the rest of the trip, as we continued to hook into Pinks, Chinooks, and even some Cohos.
