What a great day on the water, couldn't ask for more action! Summer fishing on Lake Ontario out of Olcott, NY is always a treat, and this afternoon trip with Brent was no exception. We set out from Redemption Charters at 5818 W Main St under partly cloudy skies, perfect conditions for targeting some trophy fish. The lake was in fine form, offering us a mix of opportunities as we headed out for our 5-hour adventure.

With our gear rigged and ready, we kicked things off with some trolling to cover water and locate active fish. Lake Ontario's vast expanse gives us plenty of options, so we mixed it up with some casting and bottom fishing too. This variety of techniques is key when you're after multiple species like we were today. Our efforts paid off nicely - we managed to hook into some beautiful Rainbow Trout, including a nice 14-incher that gave us a good fight. The real highlight came when we connected with some Chinook Salmon. These powerful fish always get the adrenaline pumping, and today was no different. We wrapped up the trip with smiles all around, proud of our mixed bag of trout and salmon.
